5th Grade Wax Museum
The 5th grade Wax Museum is a fun tradition here at Mapleton Elementary. This year's Wax Museum was held November 20th with two performances - one during the day for the teachers & students and the other in the evening for family members and friends.

Student of the Week/Positive Attitude
This year at Mapleton Elementary we will be spotlighting a Student of the Week from each classroom. These students receive a certificate and prize from Mrs. Peery with the chance to be drawn out at the end of each month for "Pizza with the Principal." The focus for the month of November is "Positive Attitude." The students are selected based upon the attitude they show to their teachers, peers and faculty at the school. Here are the Students of the Week of November 17th-21st.
Veteran's Day Assembly
The 2nd graders at Mapleton Elementary prepared a program for Veteran's Day. Boy Scouts that attend our school presented the colors, and then the 2nd Graders along with the school sang the National Anthem and then recited the Pledge of Allegiance. The 2nd graders then sang the many patriotic songs that they prepared for the whole school. Thank You 2nd Graders!!!

Learning About Ancient Egypt
Mrs. Hansen's 6th grade class brought stuffed animals to class to mummify. Mummifying stuffed animals helps them remeber the steps ancient Egypt used to preserve bodies.
Halloween at Mapleton Elementary
We started Halloween day off at Mapleton Elementary with a parade through and around the school. We had many parents in attendance to see all of the fun and creative costumes worn by faculty and students. Here are many pictures of the faculty and students in their costumes.
