Did you know?

September is National Attendance Awareness Month. Did you know that if a student misses one day of school every 2 weeks, that is 10% of learning time missed, or almost 4 weeks of school in a year?  "Chronic Absence" is defined as missing 10% or more of school for any reason -- excused, unexcused, etc. It is an indication that a student is academically at risk due to missing too much school starting in Kindergarten. (Utah State Office of Education).
