We are excited to have the Scholastic Book Fair going on this week. It will be open Tuesday - Friday and during both evenings of parent conferences. The money that comes to the school from the book fair fundraiser helps buy books and other supplies that teachers need to enhance instruction in their classrooms.

Mrs. Hansen's 6th grade class were wondering if the size of pumpkin determined the amount of seeds. They calculated the volume and then counted the seeds. Turns out, the two aren't related at all.
Intermountain Healthcare Just Jumpin club came and presented an assembly for our school. They emphasized a healthy heart and active lifestyle, while showing us their amazing skills. Even students and teachers were able to join in and show their moves as well.
Mapleton City police officers took time out of their day to come help with Kindergarten center rotations. What great examples of service and leadership. We appreciate everything they do for our school and city.

We are so grateful to the Harwards, from Harward Farms, that donate a pumpking to each student every year. They do many fun learning activities with these pumpkins before they take them home.
The 4th grade classes had a stormwater presentation where they learned how to better take care of our water supply.
We had a visit from the Mapleton Firefighters today in each classroom. They taught the students about fire safety.
