We Will Miss You Mrs. Snyder and Mr. Brinkerhoff
Congratulations to Mr. Brad Brinkerhoff and Mrs. Ginnie Snyder on their retirement from Mapleton Elementary and Nebo School District. Both were honored with an open house at Mapleton School and presented with a beautiful rocking chair which has a small engraved plate with a thank you for their years of service to Mapleton Elementary. Brad has given 35 years and Ginnie 21 years to teaching at Mapleton. Thanks to all who have visited them and remembered them in various ways.
Orchestra Concert
6th grade orchestra performed a concert for students at Mapleton Elementary, under the direction of Mrs. Jessica Knight.
We would like to thank Mrs. Knight for all of the hard work she put in to orchestra this year and for all of the students that participated.
National Energy Foundation Water Conservation Slogan Contest
Emily Blaisdell's class won the National Energy Foundation Water Conservation Slogan Contest with the slogan "Help Utah Out Turn Off the Spout". The slogan is on posters that will go to every school in Utah. The class received an iPad as an award.
Crystal Apple Award
Kelsey Foster was awarded Horace Mann's Crystal Apple for 2014. Craig Harvey presented the award and Sheri Jensen wrote the following in a tribute to Kelsey.

‘Twas a night in Mid-August and all through the school, Not a child could be seen not even their drool.
‘Twas time to hang pictures and posters and charts, There was math to be planned and language arts.
Debate Tournament
Students from Mapleton Elementary were involed in a state debate tournament. We would like to congratulate all students for their hard work preparing for the debate tournament.

The Kindergarten students at Mapleton Elementary are showing the cars that they made for the Kindy 500 as they tour the school.
