Looking back on 2020 we have seen challenges, progression, and a wave of phenomenal change. Through it all, we have moved forward, adapted to our surroundings, and became more aware, of those around us. Thanks to 2020 we now have 20/20 Vision of the things that matter most. Here is to ringing in a new year with 2021. It will be a fantastic year of new beginnings and wonderful things.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
How great it is to recognize our Students of the Month each month. These students show kindness, resilience, respect, and helpful attitudes in their daily interactions with others. We are proud of each of them for the examples they are and what they add to our school.
Our traditional "Sing Around the Tree" looks a bit different this year, but we are still doing it as a "Sing Along." Music is played over the loud speaker throughout the whole school as classes simultaneous sing carols and music of the season. There's even some dancing involved. Here is Mrs. Murdock's class right after we sang with someone in an extra fun mask!
Our Kindergartners look SO forward to Fridays! Ms. Shakespeare goes out, gives High 5's, and welcomes them with open arms. Our kids love her as our new counselor. She is so caring, loving, kind, and making sure all our kids here at Mapleton Elementary have all the help they need!!
Thank you for being such a huge inspiration!!!
