First Grade students at Mapleton Elementary School had a delightful experience at the new U.V.U. Noorda Theatre Center for Children and Youth. Students at Mapleton  were the first school to attend an adaptation of "Charlotte’s Web. They were treated to live music, characters and amazing hand crafted puppets which represented the animals in the story. The theatre holds approximately 140 people and has stadium seating which made it easy for children to see and enjoy the performance. Students fell in love with the Charlotte's character, a puppet and puppeteer. Singing dancing and then being able to see and talk to performers after the play. Everyone enjoyed lunch on the lawn then headed home with smiles on their faces. An enjoyable experience for parents, teachers and students alike! A follow up group them came to school a few days later to teach students more about the performance.
