We were lucky and very honored to have Hank Smith come speak with Mapleton Elementary students and staff. He talked to us about Being Brave, Kind, that its Ok to have boundaries. That our choices are very important. That they trickle down and affect others, not just ourselves.

Picture Day is just around the corner!! Packets went home with kids this week, but if you need extra we have a few in the office.

Reminder of Parent Teacher Conferences this week. You signed up for times with the teacher at the beginning of the school year. If there are any questions, please email your childs teacher. We look forward to seeing you all this week.
Tuesday, Sara Harward came to school with 5 watermelons, 3 books and lots of information about watermelons. We learned lots and had a great time!!

In Miss Belknap's class every student came up with two kindness goals that they want to work on this year. Some include complimenting more people, including others, greeting people by name, etc. In addition to their goals, each student came up with a plan for something they can do DAILY to work toward their goals, and they've been tracking their efforts every day as well. I've already seen them become so much more conscience of their own efforts to be kind each day!

Miss Carr's class has been taking their learning to "Rocking" levels. Starting with learning about Igneous Rocks.
