6th Grade - Aquarium Day

Submitted by julie.knight on

Yesterday the whole sixth grade went to the Loveland Aquarium. We went to a lesson and learned about the ocean and how it impacts us, even in Utah. We also talked about ways to keep the ocean and our air clean. Then we went to some of the exhibits such as the sharks and the touch pools. One of the many exhibits we went to was the penguin exhibit. The penguins were fast swimmers and very cute. We learned all of the penguins names and some facts about them. After we had lunch we went to more exhibits to finish up and came back home.

6th grade orchestra performs

Submitted by julie.peery on

Just before our Christmas break, 6th graders from Mapleton and HobbleCreek Elementary performed several numbers that they have learned so far this year.  It is amazing how much the students have learned in just four months and we greatly appreciate Jessica Knight, the orchestra director.
