Our theme this year is "Choose to make a Difference," and this term we are focusing on being "Responsible." Each week during the month our teachers have picked out a student in their class that they see being responsible here at school.  Make sure to look at all of the pictures for the month of March, showing all of our students of the week being that our being responsible.

Library Story Winners

Mapleton Elementary librarian, Mrs. Thurgood held the first annual Mapleton Writing contest for the 2nd thru 6th grades. There were a lot of great submissions and the judging was very difficult. The winners are: 2nd grade picture books: First place: Lucas NeVille, Second place: Kash Groneman, Third place: Norah Throckmorton, Honorable Mention: Sydney Jacobson. 3rd/4th Grade short stories: First Place: Jadelyn Hansen, Second Place: Ruby Norton, Third place: Gavin Miner, Honorable Mention: Ava Morris.

School Square Dance

Shauna Woodmansee from Arts Inc. came to our school to teach the kids about square dancing and instruct them as they learned to square dance. All grades were able to participate throughout the day.

Dudes and Donuts

We had a great turnout this morning for Dudes and Donuts.  A great oppurtunity to visit the school, enjoy a treat and spend some time reading with a child.
