Reading is important and these students at Mapleton Elementary School, know just how important it is!  Each class teacher selects a student that shows evidence of great progress and good reading habits.

These children are making progress here at school as well as at home.  It is parents and teachers, the home and the school that are making a difference.  We appreciate the opportunity we have to recognize  students through the Ken Garff, " It Pays to Read Program"  Congratulations to the following students and their parents for this honor!

This week Mapleton Elementary honored those students who are "Doing Their Best" to be kind and friendly to others:  These students are going the extra mile and their teachers and other staff

members are looking for and noticing students who deserve to be honored for their efforts.  Each week as teachers are giving lessons to make children aware of the difference they can make

by understanding what "Bullying" is and how it affects others.  Then students are putting into action a plan to make a difference by treating others kindly and being friends to everyone!

Mapleton Fourth Graders are flying through their multiplication facts this

singing to familiar tunes such as "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" and "Yankee

Doodle."  On the Morning of the  PTA meeting when the class was

practicing for their performance, Mrs. Katie Barth's class came to visit Mrs.

Snyder's First Grade Class. They performed their songs for the first graders

to show what they had been learning! Students enjoyed the performance and
