Since the beginning of the year, students here at Mapleton Elementary School have been

diligently working on "Doing their Best'!

During the day classes show best behavior, best work practice, friendship and kindness to
classmates, go out of their way to help others enjoy being here at school.

Staff and teachers have a"Doing My Best" stamp to put on students

hand when they have earned it. Then  they are allowed to go to the office

and sign their name for the drawing  and receive a small reward.

Once again this year Mapleton Elementary students were surprised with the gift of a pumpkin from Harward Farms. Each student was presented with their very own pumpkin. Students returned to their classrooms to think of as many activities as possible to use their pumpkins. Some of the activities were learning about how pumpkins grow, graphing pumpkins,  estimating to find how many seeds were inside their pumpkins,  pumpkin carving and writing about pumpkins.

This year was Mapleton Elementary School's Second Halloween Parade.  Faculty, students and Parents alike were in their finest form. Everyone seems to have caught the Halloween spirit with their Grade Level Teams, office Staff and specialists here at our school certainly went the extra mile. The parade wound around the school, in and out of the classrooms with a special trip through the auditorium where many family members and friends waited patiently to see the vast assortment of costumes.

We had a great Walk-a-thon and Fall Extravaganza this year.  Thanks to everyone for their support. Students did a great job walking and getting donations. We always succeed when everyone pitches in and helps.  We had a great turn out with games, slides, hay ride and petting zoo not to mention an awesome "Spook Alley"! Everyone lined up for a turn to be scared. Thanks to the volunteers who created an excellent experience for everyone to enjoy!  Here are a few pictures of the fun and celebration!
