4th grade kicked off their Place Value unit this week by posing the question, "How Much Is A Million?" There were chairs representing each place with each one showing 10 times larger. Ending with Mrs. Peery's chair which represented a million. She then read the book, "How Much Is a Million?" to the students.
Then the students were given a challenge to color one million tiny squares on graph paper. Wednesday afternoon the students gathered together to see if they had one million and to get a great visual for how much a million really is!!
