We want to congratulate Mrs. Ginnie Snyder for being nominated as Mapleton Elementary Teacher of the Year.  Mrs. Snyder has been at Mapleton Elementary for nineteen of her twenty-one years of teaching.  For the past eighteen years she has enjoyed teaching first grade.   She has also taught second grade.

Mrs. Snyder enjoys working with children, parents, and also mentoring others.  You can usually hear music coming from her room.  She learned to play the guitar so that she  could incorporate it into her teaching.  Her greatest asset in teaching is her enthusiasm and the love and concern she shows to her students.

Mrs. Snyder is the mother of  6 children,  13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.  All of her children attended  Mapleton Elementary.  Her husband Paul is also frequently seen in the school helping her with bulletin boards, substituting, or videoing class activities for the video that she makes for her students to remember their year in her class.  We love you Mrs. Snyder and appreciate all of the extra time you put into teaching.
