It was so fun to be at MMHS track to do our 6th grade and 5th grade track meets this week. Students enjoyed participating and were such great sports cheering on their teammates. Mapleton students did well and here are just a few of those who placed in various events. 

These students have the fastest fingers and were recognized as being in the top ten percent of keyboarders in Nebo School District. Today they were able to participate in the district keyboarding competition against other students' results and the overall winners in 4th and 5th grade will be awarded cash prizes. We are proud of them and their hard work with this important skill! 

We were excited to recognize and honor one of our incredible instructional technicians, Kris Cox, as our Outstanding Employee Award this year. Kris is such a positive influence on our students and our school. She cares about each student and works hard to find ways to help them grow and make progress, both academically and behaviorally. Students love her and we do too! Craig Harvey, from Horace Mann, came to present Kris with her award. 

What tremendous support we received for our PTA Penny Wars fundraiser! Thank you for your generosity. The students were so excited to add to their jars and sabotage other classes with their coins as well. We appreciate Lollipuffs for coming and doing cotton candy for the classes with the highest points. All students received a treat as well for participating. What a fun event!  

Mrs. Barth's kindergarten class had a fun egg hunt on this sunny day. Their 4th grade buddies hid the eggs on the playground that were filled with subtraction problems...that's right - math problems! When the students found an egg, they would run to their buddy and tell them the answer to their problem. They had a so much fun and didn't even realize the reviewing they were doing.
