Thankful Little Turkeys

Submitted by stacey.holmes on

Mrs. Snyder's First Grade Class enjoyed making paper bag turkey center pieces for  their parents as a Thanksgiving surprise.  Students shown here are excited to get their turkeys home!  Great job Students.  Mrs. Snyder was sad that this is the last time she will get to make these and she is surely going to miss all her "little turkeys" next year!

First Grade Holiday Fun

Submitted by stacey.holmes on

It's been a very busy holiday season for the First Grade students.  They started our with a trip to the Nutcracker at the Covey Center. They all looked so great dressed up for the event.  Everyone did a great job showing their best manners also.  We appreciated Intermountain Health Care who contributed to the Provo Civic Ballet Directed by Jenny Creer-King.

First Grade Town Walk

Submitted by stacey.holmes on

Each year students in the First grade here at Mapleton Elementary take what is called a "Town Walk. They  are having a first hand experience to learn about their community. Mapleton City staff are always so  accommodating   in setting up the visits with each department as are those who donate their time to come and help students learn about the great city where they live!  Camille Brown schedules the Library, police, ambulance, fire station and Mayor Wall, to spend time explaining what the City of Mapleton provides.  We want to thank everyone for all they do.
