The Utah County Association of Dental Wives presented a special assembly on dental health to Mapleton Elementary School First and Second Grade Classes.
Using puppets, they performed a great presentation on the why’s and how’s of caring for your teeth. The students enjoyed the play with cute dinosaur puppets, and the professor teaching them the importance of brushing, flossing and eating good healthy food to keep their teeth clean and breath fresh. We appreciate their time and effort in performing and teaching our students.
The fourth grade had their official Hogwarts Sorting Ceremony on Wednesday, January 22nd. Former Hogwarts students in fifth grade cheered the newly sorted fourth graders into their houses. Future Hogwarts students, the third graders, were invited to the ceremony as well.
On January 17th, the fourth grade students had a blast at the annual fourth grade Rendezvous. The Rendezvous celebrates excellent student behavior during term two, where students worked hard to earn 'beaver skins'. Students enjoyed learning all about Utah's Mountain Men. Students were able to spend their beaver skins at various stations, including games, a Mountain Man photo booth, and a trading post. The fourth grade teachers are especially grateful to the Rymer family for loaning us the beautiful furs students were able to use for the photo booth.
