We will be spotlighting a Student of the Week from each classroom. These students receive a certificate and prize from Mrs. Peery with the chance to be drawn out at the end of each month for a special activity with the Principal. The focus for the month of September is "Cooperation".  The students are selected by their teachers as they see their ability to cooperate here at school.  Here are the Students of the Week for September 25.

This week to continue our Read-a-thon celebration, several storybook characters visited with students at recess. Mr. Fox was even found up in a tree. We hope students are continuing to spend extra time reading this week so we can meet our school goal of 100,000 minutes!

The PTA kicked off our Readathon fundraiser today with a fun assembly hosted by the Reading Fairy. Teachers had to answer questions to guess which storybook character was behind each curtain. We were visited by Fantastic Mr. Fox, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, the three little pigs and the big bad wolf, Mrs. McGonagall from Harry Potter and Greg Heffley from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. The school goal this week is 100,000 minutes. Let's READ!

Mrs. Jensen's 2nd grade class learned about constitution day on Thursday, September 17 by making a flag and learning the preamble.
