Faculty Spotlight / Kristin Northcutt

Mrs. Northcutt is the Facilitator at Mapleton Elementary.  She enjoys to go to movies and spend time with her family.  Her favorite children’s book is “You are Special” by Max Lucado.  She is married to Brad and has 7 children.  A Son is serving a mission in Russia, and she has a daughter that will be serving in Peru.  She has 3 kids that go to Mapleton Elementary.  Her favorite vacation was to Disneyland, and she would love to go to Fiji.  She loves working in the community where she lives and being able to work where here children go to school.

SNAP assembly

Last week our students were treated to an assembly from SNAP (Safe Neighborhood Access Program) where they learned about how to safely walk, bike or even ride to school. Students were taught about following road signs and rules and the high energy assembly engaged students right along with teaching them important information. Thanks SNAP!

4th grade Pioneer Day Program

The fourth graders celebrated Utah heritage and customs with their Pioneer Program. Students sang songs about Utah and the Westward Movement. They also showcased their square dancing skills. Parents and guests were even invited to participate at the end. 

Sing Around The Tree

The Students at Mapleton Elementary are enjoying a tradition of Sing Around the Tree.  Each December the whole school sings Christmas songs together in the auditorium on several different days throughout the month.  Each class also practices a Christmas song to perform for the school.
