Crazy Hair & Sock Day!
Miss Ferweda, Mrs. Murdocks class, and some snazzy groups of sisters, showed off their talented hair-do's. Its been a great Red Ribbon Week.
"It takes a village..."
Fifth graders from Miss Thompson's class worked hard as teams to create a "volume village" on a coordinate plane. From the design of the buildings to the GPS coordinates to get around "town", the students made it all happen. Way to go with real-life problem solving and being team players!
Red Ribbon Week Kickoff ~ ROCKSTAR DAY!!!
Miss Carr's Chicken Mini's were kicking Red Ribbon Week off right with their new hit single, "Freezin' from the Hilltops of our Heart" !! They are ROCKSTARS already cause they say NO to drugs!!
Students of the Month
How great it is to recognize our Students of the Month each month. These students show kindness, resilience, respect, and helpful attitudes in their daily interactions with others. We are proud of each of them for the examples they are and what they add to our school.
Red Ribbon Week ~ Jan 11th -14th
Red Ribbon Week is next week. We can pledge to be drug free, make good choices, and be a positive influence on others for good. We are excited to see all your fun ideas for the dress up days ahead.. Here is the schedule below
Monday: Be a Rock Star and Stay Drug Free ~ Dress up Like a ROCK STAR
Tuesday: Follow Your Dreams by Making Good Choices ~ PAJAMA DAY
Wednesday: I have the Power to Make Good Choices Online ~ Dress Like your Favorite SUPER HERO
Day of Caring ~ January 29th
Our annual Day of Caring is right around the corner. Flyers will be coming home with your kiddos this week. Polar Fleece nad Anti-Pill are needed, they are the best to tie with.

Danae Schilling ~ Our New 4th Grade Teacher
We are elated to have Mrs. Schilling as our new 4th Grade teacher. She grew up living in several different places but spent quite a bit of her elementary years in Japan. She loves new adventures, and experiencing new cultures. She enjoys ar and dancing. She is very excited to get to work at Mapleton after doing her student teaching here in the fall with Mr. Curtis.

Around the school in December
We know not as many parents were able to be at school as usual in December so here is a snapshot of some of our great hallways and fun characters today at school - last day of school in 2020! Happy holidays everyone!
Ringing in 2021
Looking back on 2020 we have seen challenges, progression, and a wave of phenomenal change. Through it all, we have moved forward, adapted to our surroundings, and became more aware, of those around us. Thanks to 2020 we now have 20/20 Vision of the things that matter most. Here is to ringing in a new year with 2021. It will be a fantastic year of new beginnings and wonderful things.
