The Students at Mapleton Elementary are enjoying a tradition of Sing Around the Tree.  Each December the whole school sings Christmas songs together in the auditorium on several different days throughout the month.  Each class also practices a Christmas song to perform for the school.

We will be spotlighting a Student of the Week from each classroom. These students receive a certificate and prize from Mrs. Peery with the chance to be drawn out at the end of each month for a special activity with the Principal. The focus for the month of December is "Honesty".  The students are selected by their teachers as they see their students show honesty here at school.  Here are the Students of the Week for December 11.

Afterschool Robotics and Tech Club competition

Submitted by julie.peery on

Our 4th-6th grade Afterschool Robotics and Tech Club recently held their robotics competition. Students used Lego Mindstorms to build robots that had to perform tasks such as maneuvering balls to places on a court and weave through a maze based on their programming. All of the students did a great job and learned from the experience! We appreciate BYU's support and leadership with this program.
