After school Technology and Engineering Club

Several students were able to participate this year in our after school Technology and Engineering club, sponsored by BYU. This spring, students were able to use our 3-D printer to design and create many items. The final item was a plastic rocket and students celebrated by launching them this past week. Here is a link to a video if you'd like to see them in action. We appreciate the time and effort of BYU professors and students in making this happen.

RAD performs for Mapleton

Submitted by julie.peery on

Recently we had the Rees Elementary African Drum student group come and perform for our school. They were in authentic dress and used many different percussion drums and instruments to create very impressive music. Students led most of the songs and the audience even got to participate. It was a great assembly!

We will be spotlighting a Student of the Week from each classroom. These students receive a certificate and prize from Mrs. Peery with the chance to be drawn out at the end of each month for a special activity with the Principal. The focus for the month of March is being a "Hard Worker".  The students are selected by their teachers as they see their students working hard each day.  Here are the Students of the Week for April 1.
