April Students of the Week - Responsible

Our theme this year is "Choose to make a Difference," and this term we are focusing on being "Responsible." Each week during the month our teachers have picked out a student in their class that they see being responsible here at school.  Make sure to look at all of the pictures for the month of April, showing all of our students of the week that our being responsible.

3rd Grade Program

Our third grade students performed their program for the school today, and will be performing for the parents tonight at 6:30.  It is an amazing program that you will not want to miss!

Crystal Apple Award

Each year a teacher is selected by the faculty for the Crystal Apple Award and this year it went to Rachel Hansen, one of our sixth grade teachers. The award was presented by Craig Harvey on Monday, April 17th. Rachel is well respected by her peers, students, and parents as well. Some of the comments made by her fellow teachers are as follows: "Rachel is such a fun, energetic person to work with.

A few fun facts about our special education technician Ms. Rees.

1.  She loves spending time with her 4 kids. she thinks they are amazing

2.  She has won awards for making cakes and costumes

3.  She loves to build ande construct things with power tools and has taught all of her children how to use them

1.  She has visited homes that are over 1000 years old - Indian cliff dwellings

2.  She has taught at Mapleton Elementary for 33 years
