Mapleton 5th and 6th grade students participated in the Nebo Elementary Debate Tournament. 130 fourth, fifth and sixth grade students from Hobble Creek, Brockbank, Rees and Mapleton participated. The issue debated this year is Do the benefits of domestic surveillance by the National Security Agency outweigh the harms. The debate was sponsored by the Utah High School Coaches Association.
