Reflections Winners

Submitted by julie.peery on

Congrats to each and every student who participated in our PTA Reflections Contest this year. There were such great entries in every category that showed creativity and personality. It has been fun to have some of them on display in our library for a while. We appreciate the time the students took to share their talents. We also appreciate Mrs. Reschke for her enthusiasm and for coordinating the contest this year.

Crystal Apple Honoree

Everyone agrees that Katie Barth is so incredibly deserving of the Crystal Apple Award!  Katie is truly a light at our school from her positive encouragement and sincere caring for others, to her infectious laugh and joyful humor she shares with all of us. Katie sends messages of fun, love and hope to all the faculty members and cares for her students just as deeply everyday. We LOVE having Katie as part of our team! Thanks to Craig Harvey from Horace Mann for presenting the award.

Throwback Thursday~ A little History

Submitted by julie.knight on

We thought it would be fun to show our residents and students, what Mapleton Elementary used to look like many, many years ago. There are still parts of the school that are apart of this original.   It just looks a  little bit different today :)

This picture is 1st & 2nd graders with their teacher, dated: May 1900!!!

As many of you know there have been several add-ons done on to our school that have helped extend our classroom needs. The most recent addition is now where you will find all the 5th and 6th graders.

Harwards Pumpkins

THANK YOU, so much to Jake and Sara Harward for being so generous with our Mapleton Kids. Every year they donate pumpkins to our kids at this school, as well as many other schools here in Nebo School District. The kids all look forward to it, and its such a fun and festive way to get us in the mood for Fall, and Halloween.

First Graders in the Community

Mrs. Murdock's class went to the City Library, Fire Station, and Police Station on a mini field trip to say thanks and learn more about how they work here in this amazing community.  Its so great having our school so close to the things that keep us safe!

If you ever wanted a super power, the Lunch Ladies are were its at. I can bet that if anyone thinks back to when they were younger, you could remember who your lunch ladies were, how hard they really worked, and just how good school lunch was! (Especially the peanut butter bars!)  These ladies work overtime!! With the new regulations, remote learners, and gluten free diets, these ladies have every multi-tasking situation covered!!  THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!
