Submitted by julie.knight on

Mark your calendars and get your smiles ready for Picture Day!

Students who are doing REMOTE learning will come from 1:00-2:00pm. These are students who would normally be attending Mapleton Elementary. If you would not normally attend Mapleton Elementary you would have your pictures taken at your regular boundary school. You can call them and find out when their picture day would be.

The 4th Grade OlympicsStudents chose a country to represent at the Olympics. There were 19 countries with 4th grade representatives who participated in the events: jump rope, hula hoop, running, crab walk and wheelbarrow race. A medal ceremony was held where each first, second and third place contestant was awarded with a "tasty" gold, silver or bronze medal. The National Anthem of each winning country was played.

4th Grade Million Dollar Challenge

Submitted by julie.knight on

4th grade kicked off their HOW MUCH IS A MILLION CHALLENGE on August 22nd.  Mrs Peery read the students the book on a prerecorded link we watched in our classrooms.  We all worked together trying to build a million squares by Friday.  We ended up with about 300,000 squares which we discovered when each class laid them out on Friday.
