Here are our November Students of the Month. Each one of them was chosen for several reasons but a common comment from each of their teachers was how they show kindness to others and don't give up. Way to represent Mapleton Elementary!
I was born and raised right here in Mapleton, and was actually a Mapleton Mountaineer! (A looooong time ago...) I am married and have six kids, one son-in-law, and one grand-daughter. (She's my favorite...) I love spending time with my family, camping, hiking, and watching sporting events such as baseball, basketball, college football, etc. I like to garden, and can't wait for the snow to melt in the spring so I can play in the dirt and plant flowers. In my spare time I love to sew, and I love making quilts.
Just a reminder that Christmas break is coming up. Friday will be a FULL day of school, not a half day. We will return on Thursday, Jan 2nd.

Congratulations to Mrs. Jensen, Ms. Naylor, Mrs. Jarvis, & Mr. Curtis! They received a grant for a charging station for 2nd Grade Chromebooks from the Nebo Education Foundation. Way to go 2nd Grade!

BYU engineering students came to our class last week and this week to help us build rockets! The students designed the fins and created moon bases that fit inside of the rockets. We launched them outside. We learned so much about the engineering process, and we had a TON of fun.
