1st -6th had a great time at the Basketball game today! Its Great we have such an amazing school that does such tremendous things.!!
These students were selected by their teachers as our October Students of the Month. They were able to come to an award breakfast on Nov. 5th to celebrate. They each represent being a Mapleton Mountaineer in their own unique way and we are very proud of them!
Mrs. Emery's class had the opportunity to celebrate their research, hard work, dedication, and group efforts to present an Ancient Egyptian Museum to the other 6th grade classes, as well as Mrs. Northcutt! The students immersed themselves in their given topics about ancient egypt, with the options being technology and science, culture and daily life, economics and government, architecture, and religion. It was so inspiring to watch the students learn and grow these past 6 weeks, researching and discussing ancient Egyptian culture and how it has impacted our lives today.
Brandon Mull, the author of Fablehaven, The Beyonders, Dragon Watch, and lots of other Fantastic fantasy books came to our School! The kids were beyond excited. Some of the kids were even able to have their books signed by him that they had ordered. So happy we get such incredible people at Mapleton.
CONGRATULATIONS TO THESE INCREDIBLE KIDS!!!
These kids took the theme, " Look Within" to another level this year. Not only did our school get to enjoy their amazing work, but the entire Region did as well. Keep up the good work! You can do anything, you put your mind to.
