Faculty Spotlight / Chaille McMaster

Mrs. McMaster is a 4th grade teacher at Mapleton Elementary.  She enjoys dancing, hiking and camping, boating, fishing, sleeping and eating.  Her favorite children's book is "Any Dr. Suess" by Theodore Suess Geisel.  She is married to Zack and they are expecting their first child.  Her favorite vacation was to the Caribbean Islands, and she would love to travel to Thailand.  She enjoys working at the school because she loves the students and faculty, and the beautiful city of Mapleton.

Mrs. Palfreyman is a special education technician at Mapleton Elementary.  She enjoys horseback riding, going to movies, and being outside.  Her favorite children's book is "Winnie the Pooh" by A.A. Milne.  She and her husband have three children.  Her favorite vacation was to Jackson, Wyoming and she would love to travel to Italy.  She enjoys working at the school because the kids are great and all the teachers are wonderful.

Mrs. Suyak is a lunch lady at Mapleton Elementary.  She enjoys sewing, quilting, and making cookies.  Her favorite children's book is "The Little Red Hen".  She grew up as the middle child of nine kids, and she has six children and six grandchildren of her own.  Her favorite vacation was to Disneyland with her family, and she would love to travel to Disneyworld. She enjoys working at the school because of the wonderful ladies she works with, and seeing the kids faces and smiles as they say thank you for lunch.

Ms. Naylor is a 3rd grade teacher at Mapleton Elementary.  She enjoys doing puzzles, collecting children's books, and reading.  Her favorite children's book is "The True Confession of Charlotte Doyle" by Avi.  She grew up in a family of six in Mapleton, and she has one son.  Her favorite vacation was to Mexico, where she slept on the beach, and she would love to go to any tropical island.  She enjoys working at the school because she works with a lot of friends, and it is fun to teach at the elementary school that she went to as a kid.

Hatching Chicks

Mrs. Harward came in to read a book about chickens to Mrs. Barth's 2nd grade class.  They have baby chicks hatching in class this week.  The first one hatched today, and the class is very excited!

Mrs. Lowe is an instructional coach at Mapleton Elementary.  She enjoys sewing, interior decorating, playing with her grandkids, and reading.  Her favorite children's book is "Touching Spirit Bear" by Ben Mikaelsen.  She has five children, with four of them married and the youngest in high school.  Two of her daughters are also teachers.  Her favorite vacation is wherever her kids are, and she would love to travel to Israel.  She enjoys working at the school because the teachers are fantastic and the kids are wonderful too!

Mrs. Abbott is a 1st grade teacher at Mapleton Elementary.  She enjoys doing yard work, exercising, baking, and watching movies.  Her favorite children's book is "Heckedy Peg" by Audrey Wood.  Her family loves the outdoors, and they love to fish and hunt and spend time together.  Her favorite vacation was to Belize, and she would love to travel to Africa.  She enjoys working at the school because it is her second family and her home away from home.

Mrs. Burraston is a skill building technician at Mapleton Elementary.  She enjoys gardening, playing with her kids, and reading.  Her favorite children's book is "How Full is Your Bucket" by Tom Rath & Mary Reckmeyer.  She has a great husband, a daughter that is 10 and a son that is 7.  Her favorite vacation was to her aunt's cabin, and she would love to travel to the Jungle.  She enjoys working at the school because she loves the kids.
